Peter Monksfield is a consultant ENT surgeon at University Hospital Birmingham and honorary senior clinical lecturer at the University of Birmingham. He graduated from the University of Manchester Medical School in 1997 and undertook ENT training in Oxford and London, completing his higher surgical training in Birmingham and the West Midlands. Advanced fellowship training followed in Australia, at the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital and the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Peter is able to see and treat a wide range of ear and balance problems in adults, including:-

Balance disorders, including benign paroxysmal positional vertigo and Meniere's disease
Acute ear disease, including otitis media, grommet insertion, cholesteatoma and persistent ear infections
Otosclerosis
Hearing restoration using auditory implants, including bone-anchored hearing aids, middle ear implants and cochlear implants
Skull base tumour management, including acoustic neuroma and glomus tumours
Repair of CSF leaks

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and is on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council. He is a member of ENT-UK, the British Society of Otology and the European Academy of Otology & Neuro-Otology.
